How to contact The Pacific Post securely

As a newsroom, our mission is to hold power to account in the Pacific. But we cannot do it on our own. We need ordinary people like you to help us carry out our watchdog role. If you have sensitive information that you want to share with The Pacific Post, such as leaks, public finance data or document drops safely, please use our encrypted channels.

For mobile tips, contact our secure Signal handle @thepacificpost.01. For document drops, use an anonymous, unlinked Proton account to email secure@thepacificpost.org directly. Never use a work computer, corporate network, or unencrypted personal email to submit tips.

To protect your identity, completely avoid using a work computer, corporate network or unencrypted personal account to submit tips.

Choose the level of security that fits your situation:

💬 Signal Messenger (encrypted mobile tips):
Ideal for quick news tips, mobile photos or encrypted text messages. Download the free Signal app on a personal device. Ensure you turn on “Disappearing Messages” inside our chat settings.

📩 Proton Mail (encrypted document exchanges)
Ideal for sending large datasets, leaked PDFs or financial spreadsheets. For maximum protection, create a free, anonymous Proton account on a personal network. When you email us from a Proton address, our communication utilizes automatic, end-to-end zero-access encryption.
